Cloverdale Dental Group specializes in CEREC dental restorations, such as CEREC veneers and CEREC crowns.
What is a CEREC Restoration?
Your dentist will prepare your tooth for your restoration, and then scan it with an electronic camera that allows the dentist to see the image on a computer screen.
The restoration will then be designed based on this scan.
The computer will send the design information to a milling chamber, where the CEREC restoration is immediately crafted from a solid ceramic block.
With CEREC, often we can complete your permanent, all-ceramic crown, onlay, inlay or veneer in just one quick visit.
What are the advantages of CEREC restorations?
CEREC restorations are made from ceramic, with no metal components, they are beautifully translucent, and have a very natural looking colour.
This makes them look very similar to your natural teeth. And because they blend right in, you'll feel more confident in how your teeth look.
CEREC restorations are very durable. They stand up very well to the daily grinding of food against your teeth.
They are not affected hot or cold temperatures, and the ceramic is so smooth that bacteria do not stand a chance! In short, CEREC restorations act very much like natural teeth do!
Your entire CEREC restoration can be prepared and cemented during a single appointment.
This means our patients don't have to be frozen twice, nor do they have to deal with temporary restorations. The whole procedure takes approximately one and a half hours, from start to finish.
